This species of funnelweb burrows exclusively into trees, especially paperbark, rotting eucalyptus and banksia. They construct sock-like burrows, with up to two entrances and radiating triplines. They use pieces from the tree's bark to camouflage the silk, making some entrances difficult to spot. They eat small insects that pass by their burrows, using the silk triplines to detect movement.
