A stunning species found in dry, sandy places both inland and coastal along the eastern side of Australia. Making small nests, this species prefers to hunt in the undergrowth, trying to not attack or be noticed by other species. The gold on this species is like no other golden tails, being a stunning red-gold, with orange at the tip of the abdomen. M. Fulviculis also boasts bright red legs and a dark bluish-black thorax, making it very sought after.
