Just your classic golden tailed bull ants! Being a part of the Mandibularis complex, workers lack many teeth, which is why the are sometimes called ‘toothless’ bull ants. They inhabit dry and sandy regions along the east and southern parts of Australia. They are medium sized and boast stunning gold pubescence on the gaster (hence the name duh), with a dark head, thorax and mandibles.
