Stanwellia sp. Wood Specialist

These Stanwellia are known for their unique habit of living within soft wood, often being semi-arboreal. Typically, they live in soft rotting logs in moist eucalyptus forest in Victoria, but can often live in stumps and up to 1m in soft wooded trees. This species also boasts beautiful golden hairs along the carapace and nice abdominal patterns, growing to 30mm in body length as adults.
